Many institutions (e.g., schools, athletic centers, swimming pools, and training centers) need a cost-effective way to register participants for groups, classes, and events. They need common business features but they also want the system to adapt to their business, not adapt their business to the needs of the system. Furthermore, the service must be easy for customers to use, and available to them not just during normal business hours, but also at convenient times on the evening and weekends.
We created our Time2Signup and Time2Donate line of components to perform the common business functions of the online registration process. We use high-productivity software development tools to assemble our components into systems that are tailor-made for our clients’ business needs.
Our components provide core capabilities for clients and their customers.
Our client’s administrative personnel can perform the following functions (as represented by the dashed blue lines on the following diagram).
Use a fast and easy PC interface to set up a new session and enter data for the session, subjects, skill levels, classes, facilities, locations (e.g. rooms or lanes), and instructors.
Upload data to the main web-database system via a password protected, secure link.
Use a Web Browser interface to Enter and Edit data (e.g., make last minute changes to instructor assignments) on the main web-database system.
Post teaching rosters on the web so that instructors can view them online any time.
Generate reports on popularity and profitability by session, subject, class, facility, or instructor.
Use e-mail to contact customers, distribute newsletters, and advertise new offerings.
Associate products to classes so that when a customer signs up for a class, the system makes cross selling suggestions for products in our catalog shopping system that “go with” the particular class.
Our client’s customers can perform the following functions (as represented by the solid black lines on the above diagram).
Visit a web site to Register as a member of a group, pay dues, or sign-up for classes.
Get Product Suggestions for materials or equipment that is suggested or required for the classes for which they have registered.
Parents can signup several children for different classes and enter address and payment information only once.
Request short lists of classes filtered by training Session, Facility, Location, Level (prerequisite skills), and custom features such as Student’s Age, or Format (group or private).
See up-to-the-second information on, which classes have filled up and which are still open.
Pay for membership, for a class, or a donation with a credit card.
Customers gain the convenience of registering on-line, whenever they like 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year. Our Clients gain added sales and avoid the administrative costs of answering phones and processing payments manually.
Here is a sample of our clients who use our registration services.

The Gardens Ice House located in Laurel, MD, is the largest Skating facility south of the Mason-Dixon Line. It boasts Olympic and NHL regulation-sized sheets of ice, a large pro shop, locker rooms, fitness rooms, training apparatus, banquet and party facilities, and state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems.
The Gardens Web site uses our time2signup component to register members for leagues, classes and other special events. Our Payment components take customer’s credit card payments for events and our mass-email system allows Gardens marketing staff to follow-up events with newsletters and renewal emails. Rink Magazine featured the Gardens’ Web site in their January 2004 edition and concluded, “Suffice it to say that we feel the Web designers scored a hat trick with the site and it serves as a great reflection of what is a superb facility”.
